BACKGROUND

Across the pond in southern England, there’s a network of 15 academy schools that are reimagining education for the 21st century. Serving over 9,000 young learners between the ages of two and 18, Aspirations has built a well-known reputation for reforming underperforming schools into highly ranked ones.
It’s impressive to see them in action, really. That’s why, when they came to us for a rebrand, we helped them seize several opportunities to move their mission forward.

THE ASSIGNMENT

If you were to walk an Aspirations campus, you might be surprised to learn that their instruction spans schools ranging from the secondary level to as young as Pre-K. After all, their curriculum feels both sophisticated and refreshingly challenging – but they needed their brand to match. We were tasked with mirroring their standout, refined direction while giving a nod to the technology that underscores their process.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Since Aspirations is an organization that fast-tracks success for schools, our mission was to reach anyone and everyone with a connection to the area schools. Through layered messaging and strategy sessions to identify needs, we effectively had to reach current and prospective students, parents, employees and administrations.

STRATEGY

We knew we needed to bring Aspirations into the 21st century, but we wanted to do so in a way that felt both timeless and smart. That said, the organization had already built years of brand equity from their existing identity. To avoid a disconnect, we chose to remain within the same color family while using line elements to represent progression and lifelong learning. From there, we created a brand that does justice to Aspirations’ innovative learning style.

Whether you’re enrolling in a new curriculum or considering teaching one, there’s a lot of information to take in. For these benefit-rich scenarios, which apply to both existing and new markets, we flow new age content into a classic delivery vehicle: brochures.

COLLATERAL

First comes branding. Then comes a refresh of everything currently in market. We equipped Aspirations with business cards, stationery, signage and even interior design to reflect their new identity.

CURRICULUM POSTERS

One of Aspirations signature focuses is building instruction around specialized focus areas. Through this elective-driven approach, similar to that of a university, students are encouraged to pursue the educational tracts they’re most passionate about. Through boldly designed curriculum posters, we ignite curiosity and pique student interest across a wide range of subjects and specialties to promote these seasonal course offerings.
